Air date: January 25, 2020 (CBC); February 11, 2020note

"Seal Dance": On a visit to the Aleutian island of Atka, Molly makes a new friend who teaches her the seal dance.

"Seal Dance" contains the following tropes:

  • Big Blackout: A storm cuts the power to the seismograph hut.
  • Dark and Troubled Past: The people of Atka had to evacuate their island during WWII when the Aleutians were invaded by the Japanese. This resulted in their traditional dances being lost, and when the Atka inhabitants returned, they had to do a tremendous amount of research to try and reconstruct their dances.
  • Dramatic Wind: When the wind blows the door to the seismograph hut open while Molly, Nadia and Grandpa Nat are waiting out a storm, it causes a candle to flicker, which results in the shadow of Nadia's seal dance figurine to dance on the wall, inspiring her to imitate it.
  • Hypocritical Humor: Grandpa Nat assures Molly that her mother has everything under control during a bit of turbulence—then immediately grips his own seat in fear when more turbulence hits.
  • I Can't Dance: Subverted. Nadia knows a lot of her people's traditional dances, but she struggles with the seal dance specifically, which affects her confidence.
  • Renaissance Woman: Nadia's mother Tatiana is the airport manager, postmaster, yoga instructor and kindergarten teacher.
  • Thunder Equals Downpour: A clap of thunder is instantly followed by sheets of rain, driving Molly, Nadia and Nat into the seismograph hut.

"Snowboarding Qyah Style": Inspired by Randall's snowboarding video antics, Molly decides to make her own video to show off 'Qyah Style' snowboarding.

"Snowboarding Qyah Style" contains the following tropes:

  • Chekhov's Skill: Trini's new dance comes in handy for completing Molly's snowboarding video.
  • Cool Old Lady: Auntie Midge shows off her snowboarding skills, which blow the kids away.
  • Dance Party Ending: The episode ends with a video of Molly, Trini and Tooey performing the "whip, shake, slide" dance along with Mr. Rowley and Auntie Midge.
  • Failure Montage: Molly gets a brief one while trying repeatedly to learn how to snowboard.
