A dangerous criminal named Don Dolnero escapes from the 30th century and into the past. Five members of the Time Defense Bureau go to follow him and capture him, but things go wrong when one of them betrays them.
Episode Tropes:
- Decoy Protagonist: Captain Ryuya is initially portrayed as a leader who recruits four rookies to join him on the hunt for Don Dolnero. But once the group travels to the year 2000, he reveals he was Lila in disguise.
- Early-Bird Cameo: D.D. Ladis makes a one shot cameo in this episode before his proper introduction many episodes later.
- Foreshadowing: Even though its Lila as Captain Ryuya attacking the TDB and not himself, it could be seen that maybe the latter is not that noble after all.
- Locked Out of the Loop: Due to the rush and urgency of stopping Don Dolnero, Tatsuya is left out on what is going on. But after the fight ends, Yuri decides to give Tatsuya the full story.
- Master of Disguise: Lila disguises herself as Captain Ryuya so she can help Don Dolnero escape to the year 2000.
- Mistaken Identity: Due to Tatsuya looking like Captain Ryuya, the four TDB attack him due to unresolved hatred.
- Police Are Useless: Well, they kind of are when your opponents are from the future and you don't have the most effective weaponry on hand.
- Xanatos Gambit: Don Dolnero allowed himself to be arrested, so he and Gien could have easy access to the Londerz Prison Facility for future purposes. Then, he has the prison teleported in the middle of the Time Ship so the TDB will take them to the past as well.
