Milo and his friends visit a dude ranch where they meet a girl named Jackie, who's the descendant of Calamity Jane. Meanwhile, Sara is going crazy because the ranch reminds her of scenes from "The Doctor Zone Files".

- Brick Joke: When they arrived at the ranch, Milo's Mom forgets to let Sara out of the car. Later, when she arrives to pick up the kids, she forgets Sara at the ranch.

- Cue the Rain: Right as they're saying they should get out of the river before it starts.
- Cute and Psycho: Jackie is a mild example, since she's less "violent" and more of a thrill-seeker.
- Everyone Has Standards: Despite the fact that Milo accepts and even enjoys his bad luck, he finds Jackie's love of seeking out danger bizarre.
- Foreshadowing: Jackie (possibly unknowingly) hints at something about Zack that we learn in "Secrets and Pies".note

- Loony Fan: Pretty much all of the Doctor Zone fans, Sara included, are willing to gush over walls and dirt if it's from the place where an episode was filmed.
- Love Makes You Stupid: Zack spends most of the episode acting recklessly out of character in order to impress Jackie.
- "Metaphor" Is My Middle Name: Zack tries to impress Jackie by claiming "Danger" is his middle name. He later admits it's Milo's.
- Non-Indicative Name: Milo gets stuck with a horse named "Psycho," who naturally starts thrashing wildly, trying to dismount him. According to the rancher, however, Psycho is normally their calmest horse, his name being an ironic joke.
- Samus Is a Girl: When she is introduced, Jackie has her mouth covered by a bandana, and her eyelashes are not visible. Melissa even mistakes her for a guy. After she removes her bandana, her hair comes loose and her eyelashes appear.
- We Named the Monkey "Jack": We named the horse "Doctor Zone," to commemorate the episode filmed there.
