Melmord is about to learn the hard way why you don't fuck with Offdensen's bread and butter.

Dethklok feels Charles is not letting them in the loop financially so they hire a second manager who allows them to do whatever they want.

This episode contains examples of:

  • All Work vs. All Play: Charles is pretty well known for being a stickler for deadlines while Melmord regards business as "all bullshit" and is much more permissive, even partying with them over any actual work. Although it's possible he's not what he seems since he also writes up a contract to give him full power of attorney over them.
  • Affably Evil: Depending on how you define "evil" in regards to the main characters anyway, but still Offdesen basically baits Melmord into giving an excuse to kill him by way of striking up a very casual conversation in which he claims he'd have to kill him first if he wants to get Dethklok away from Charles.
  • Cannot Tell a Joke: A running gag throughout the episode involves Dethklok texting knock-knock jokes taken to the literal extreme as it involves the name of the person texting. Even a drunk Charles does this in a deleted scene.
  • Dangerous Workplace: Goes without saying for Dethklok, but it's shown that even the Klokateers' sleeping quarters are in rather filthy, terrible condition, which Dethklok doesn't seem to mind since the death and disease are on-brand for them. Frankly, it's a wonder why they even have a health inspector come in the first place.
  • Duel to the Death: The episode climaxes with Offdensen and Melmord having a swordfight to determine who becomes Dethklok's permanent manager. It's also technically the first time in the series where a main character intentionally kills somebody rather than it being an accident or having somebody else do it for them.
    • This is foreshadowed at the beginning of the episode where wannabe Klokateers are required to fistfight to the death
  • Foreshadowing: Part of the Klokateer orientation involves potential candidates fighting each other to the death not unlike what Offdensen and Melmord do at the end of the episode.
  • Glass of Chianti/Cigar Chomper: Cigars and brandy seem to be regularly offered by Offdensen, himself preferring the latter.
  • Initiation Ceremony: Groupies who manage to survive training and become Klokateers are cattle branded on the back of their neck with a gear-shaped brand, welcoming them into the fold.
  • Royal Rapier: It's revealed that Charles fenced in college (even placing first in a 1985 tournament), a skill he's more than happy to demonstrate to Melmord later.
  • There Is No Kill Like Overkill: Offdensen throwing Melmord off of Mordhaus's roof was sufficient to kill him. The Mordhaus train running over his body made sure he's not coming back.
