Recap / Masters of the Universe: Revelation S1 E7: Reason and Blood

Go To

The beastial He-Man rises with bloodlust aimed squarely at Skeletor and punches the megalomaniacal demon out of the palace. A fight breaks out between the undead thralls who are quickly killed by He-Man. After grabbing a nearby ax He-Man continues his fight with Skeletor which spills into the streets of Eternos.

Skeletor questions how it is possible for Adam to still be able to channel the Power of Greyskull when he doesn't have the sword. The two continue to clash with even Skeletor's newly acquired god like powers proving to be little more then a match for He-Man's unbridled rage and strength.

Eventually however He-Man and his allies are cornered on all sides by Skeletor's army. In order to escape Teela channels her magic and uses it to transport herself and her allies away in the same way the Sorceress had before. Skeletor is infuriated that once again his greatest enemy has escaped his grasp.

At Castle Greyskull Evil-Lyn is telling some of the re-recruited members of the Evil Warriors that the mistakes and bumbling of the past will no longer be tolerated. However her speech is interrupted by Skeletor who returns and strangles Evil-Lyn questioning how Adam can still channel Greyskull's power and demanding to know if she has betrayed him. Evil-Lyn assures Skeletor that she hasn't and that she will devote all her time into finding Adam and killing him. However Skeletor doesn't want Adam dead until he has fully learned how he can still channel the power and orders his men to leave as he stands within the chamber of Greyskull and observes something only he can see.

Meanwhile Adam's group awakens at the Mystic Mountains. Teela is not sure exactly how she transported them away and Adam is still in his beast like He-Man form. The group is unable to get Adam to calm down and he runs off into the woods.

In Greyskull's dungeon Skeletor visits Man-At-Arms to question him on why he would follow Adam and what made him worthy of Greyskull's power. Duncan notes that Skeletor hasn't relinquished the power once since he stole it and tells him that in comparison Adam had the power of a god at his fingertips and only used said power to protect others, that was what made him a hero. Intriqued Skeletor demands to know more.

Back at the mountains Teela's group comes across the remains of a manticore that Adam beat to death in his rage. As Adam approaches Teela goes to him and reaches out to him, telling him that she is just as scared of her unbridled power as Adam probably is about his new form, and tells him they will work things out. Things seem to be going well, and she is calming him down, unfortunately she makes the mistake of bringing up his father which causes Adam to go back into a rage and run off.

Adam ends up running to Point Dread, the evacuation location of the residents of Eternos. While initially elated at seeing everyone safe the group gets worried when Adam sees the sigil of the Royal Family and he runs out to his father.

The guards, seeing the charging He-Man, try to contain him, though Adam's strength proves to be a challenge. They are eventually able to pin him down with Teela and the others being contained as well when they try to help him. However even all the royal guards are barely able to hold back He-Man's monstrous strength.

That is when King Randor arrives to see what the commotion is about. It only takes a brief moment of looking into his eyes for Randor to know the truth. He tells Adam that, when his son died, he wanted to die with him, and realized how wrong it was off him to only see his son as a failure rather then the courage and strength Adam always possessed. As Adam overpowers the guards he is stopped when Randor hugs his son and tells him that he loves him and is truly proud of the man he is, not the man he wanted him to be. As a tear rolls down Adam's cheek he detransforms into his normal body and father and son are able to truly embrace each other.

Meanwhile, at Castle Greyskull, Evil-Lyn contemplates all the power she now possesses. As Beast Man arrives to see if she is alright Lyn notes that, despite having all the power at the universe at his command, Skeletor is obsessed with beating He-Man. She confesses that she isn't sure what to do anymore which is when Beast Man says that, as Sorceress, she is the one who channels Skeletor's power and that, if she is unsatisfied, she should take the power back.

While she seems dismissive of this idea, even ordering Beast Man to leave her side, she observes with her magic the reunion of Adam and Randor and asks her magic mirror to show her all the times the power was relinquished, both willingly and unwillingly...

  • Takes Ten to Hold: It takes many men tying their ropes around Savage He-Man to restrain him.
