Original Airdate: October 4, 2020
Written by: Naruhisa Arakawa
Directed by: Kyohei Yamaguchi

Summary:

With "Shuka" revealing herself to be Yodonna and defeating the Kiramagers, the team is at a loss on what to do. The others want to use Energia to power themselves up, but Juru disagrees and sets off on his own to find an answer.

Tropes:

  • Call-Back:
    • Yodonna does this when she remembers Tametomo's comment about laughter to spite him.
    • Takamichi does the same move he did back in his debut episode, only this time to make his appearance known to Bomb Jamen.
  • Chekhov's Gun: Juru takes inspiration from Oradin's comment about limits to impose the time limit on the Go-Kiramager powerup. He also uses inspiration from the priestman's skill in archery to create the Kiraful Go Arrow.
  • Comfort Food: Before the team starts eating the cake during their celebration of preventing Ydonna's plan, Juru felt it was necessary to comfort Tametomo over the fact his love for "Shuka" failed. Naturally Tametomo gets sad and starts eating the cake to forget about it all, especially since Juru of all people was the one to say it.
  • Curb-Stomp Battle:
    • The Kiramagers are subjected to a brutal one by Yodonna's powered-up Bechats.
    • Making the most out of the time limit, the Kiramagers each use the Kiraful Go Arrow to blast the Bomb Jamen clones with ease.
    • Takamichi easily blasts through the last Bomb Jamen.
  • Dangerous Forbidden Technique: As Juru points out, using Energia can be just as dangerous as Yodonna's power-up as seen with the Monstone. This is what leads to him imposing the time limit on the Go-Kiramager power-up.
  • Darkest Hour: Getting creamed by Yodonna's super Bechats and Bomb Jamen clones proves too much to bear for the Kiramagers, putting them at their lowest point to date in the series. Even when they try to fight back against Yodonna's forces, they don't have high hopes going into the fight and Sayo even calls Mabushina to tell Juru her regards. Luckily the Kiramagers turn the tide with the Go-Kiramager power-up and Kiraful Go Arrow.
  • Deadly Upgrade: The powerup Yodonna gave to the Bechats turns out to be one, which saves the Kiramagers at the last moment, as is Energia in its raw state, allowing Takamichi to defeat the Monstone that possessed it. The Kiramagers then discussed using Energia to power up themselves, but are afraid of the similar drawback from using too much power. Luckily, Juru comes up with the solution of putting a time limit on the power granted from Energia.
  • Heroic BSoD: The main Kiramagers are in dire spirits after their first defeat at the hands of Yodonna.
  • Hour of Power: The Go-Kiramager form only lasts 100 seconds long.
  • Mirthless Laughter: Yodonna's first attempt at laughing, needless to say, doesn't go so well.
  • Mythology Gag: To the phrase "limits were meant to be broken", as uttered by Takamichi in episode 14 (and used as a theme for the predecessor series in general). Here, Juru learns that mindlessly pushing yourself with power beyond what one can hold will result in their body breaking down, and that limits are neccessary to control said power. This inspires him to add a time limit to control the power Energia grants to the Kiramagers.
  • Next Tier Power-Up: The Kiramagers receive one to deal with the advanced threat.
  • O.O.C. Is Serious Business: Juru is utterly crestfallen at the team's defeat at Yodonna's hands and even lashes out at them when they want to put themselves in danger again out of fear.
  • Pop-Culture Pun Episode Title: The episode title is one to the 1981 film Play It, Boogie-Woogie (スローなブギにしてくれ/Surō na Bugi ni shitekure).
  • Sadistic Choice: The Kiramagers at their lowest point either have to let Bomb Jamenshi proceed with the evil plan or risk killing themselves with a Deadly Upgrade. Thankfully, Juru comes up with a third option.
  • Special Edition Title: As part of the "Kiramai Music Festival", Tametomo gets to sing his song Dangan Shooting Star for this week's ending.
  • Take a Third Option: Instead of settling for the options outlined in the Sadistic Choice above, Juru instead decides to put a time limit on the Go-Kiramager form, allowing the Kiramagers to use its power without overloading themselves.
