Original Airdate: August 16, 2020
Written by: Kaori Kaneko
Directed by: Hiroyuki Kato

Summary:

Juru is asked by a preschool teacher to help teach her class, and struggles to get one boy, Takeshi, to be motivated to draw. During this dilemma, the main five Kiramagers get bodyswapped with their respective Kiramai Stones.

Tropes:

  • Actor Allusion: This isn't the first time Yuichi Nakamura has been a victim of a "Freaky Friday" Flip...
  • An Aesop: Positive reinforcement can go a long way.
  • Curb-Stomp Battle: After getting a little bit of encouragement from their partners, the Mashins utterly thrash the Bechats no problem, in spite of the body switch.
  • "Freaky Friday" Flip: The basis of the episode.
  • Mythology Gag:
  • Out of Focus: Takamichi doesn't really play a part in the episode, spending most of it either in Gigant Driller, fighting Galza in suit or going off-screen treasure hunting after the past six episodes being centered on his arrival. This is rather justified since he is the only Kiramager who hasn't undergone a body swap.
  • Paper Destruction of Anger: Not necessarily anger, but Takeshi demonstrates to Juru that he doesn't want to draw via tearing up the paper given to him. When he does it again, Fire manages to invert it into "Paper Destruction of Joy" by shredding his own paper while calling Takeshi's way interesting. Takeshi and the other kids follow suit.
  • Pop-Culture Pun Episode Title: The episode title is a reference to the 2008 film AIBOU: The Movie, also known as Partners: The Movie.
  • Shout-Out:
    • When Mach is getting revved up for battle, a motorcycle getting revved up and its wheels screeching plays in the background, not unlike Accel getting revved up.
    • When the Kiramagers-as-Mashins head out to fight the Jamen Beast, Sayo straight-up references Sailor Moon's iconic Catchphrase:
Sayo: No evil deeds on my watch. Be prepared for your discipline.note
    • After being switched back, Fire utters Jotaro Kujo's iconic "yare yare daze".
