In the series' third hour-long episode, Clete Roberts revisits the 4077th to follow up on his last interview with the camp's personnel. Unlike the previous episode, this one is a Clip Show, with the interview intercut with scenes from previous seasons and clips from Fox Movietone newsreels.
Attention all personnel! Clete Roberts is here to interview the following tropes:
- Character Development: Roberts asks everyone how the war has changed them.
- Damned by Faint Praise:
- Father Mulcahy struggles to say something nice about Maj. Winchester, but is only able to come up with "H-He's a very good doctor."
- Winchester returns the favor, stating that there are some people he will try very hard to forget after the war is over, but never shall.
- Deliberately Monochrome: Once again, the interview segments with Roberts are presented in black and white to simulate a 1950s telecast, although the effect is somewhat undermined by many of the actual clips being in color.
- Fire-Forged Friends: Everyone's general assessment of each other, regardless of quirks and frustrations.Margaret: They're a terribly unruly and undisciplined bunch, and I thank God for each and every one of them when those casualties roll in.
- Not So Above It All: Mulcahy talks about how he plays poker to relax, adding that most of his winnings go to the local orphanage.
- Too Much Information: Potter's initial response after blurting out that he misses spooning his wife in bed. He soon relents, figuring that others do the same thing.
