Trying to find answers regarding Ha-Chan's mysterious power, Mirai and Riko decide to head to the Magic School to ask Kochou if he might know something. However, they discover that he is nowhere to be found, with no one knowing where he went. They ask their friends Kay, Emily and Jun if they might have any ideas, and learn a few rumors about Kochou, including one about a mysterious door on top of the large tree near the school.
Wondering if it might lead to Kochou, Mirai and Riko decide to investigate the door. However, Batty is out to steal the Linkle Smartome on Dokurokushe's orders.
This episode contains examples of:
- Big Creepy-Crawlies: Riko is afraid of running into caterpillars while making their way up the tree, which Mirai isn't too worried about, until she discovers just how big the caterpillars in question are.
- Fusion Dance: Batty combines himself with Sparda and Gametts' magic to take on a stronger form to fight the Cures.
- Mythology Gag: Batty decides to voice his suspicions that he mentioned in a previous episode, and flat-out asks Yamoh if he's the true mastermind behind their plans, until Dokurokushe proves otherwise by finally speaking up. Batty's accusations seem to be a reference to Futari wa Pretty Cure Splash★Star, where it turned out the apparent Big Bad Akudaikhan was merely a puppet created by Gooyan, who was the actual Big Bad.
