I'm Taking You In

When Arlo's mom goes out hunting for food, Lucas decides to look after Arlo for the night. How hard can it be to look after a little Owl?

Babysitting Episode: In this episode, Lucas invites Arlo inside to watch him while his Mama’s out when he gets scared by a loud noise.
Babysitter Friendship: Lucas thinks it’ll be great to watch Arlo since they’re friends, but he comes to realize it’s harder than he expected.
Offscreen Crash: Arlo causes several of these, from wrestling with Avocado to making a huge mess of the kitchen.

Screw This, I'm Outta Here: Findley bails when Arlo angers Avocado and the force of her loud bark sends him smacking into a flower pot.
Findley: That’s it, I’m outta here.
Sympathetic Wince: Lucas and Findley do this as Arlo aggressively wrestles Avocado offscreen.
Verbal Backpedaling: Arlo’s Mama finally comes home, but he’s been having so much fun with Lucas that he wants to stay longer. Upon hearing this, Lucas yells “NO!”, but quickly corrects himself.
Lucas: NO! …I mean, I think you should go see your Mama. We can do this again later?

Something Up There

After hearing a horrible screech from the fireplace, Lucas is nominated by his friends to go up and find out what is causing the noise.

Cuteness Proximity: Avocado starts gushing about how cute Bird is and talking to her in a baby voice when Lucas finally helps free her from the chimney.
Don't Try This at Home: While climbing up the chimney, Lucas tells the audience “Don’t do this at home!”.
Freeze-Frame Ending: The episode ends on a freeze-frame of Avocado jumping out her doggy door with Bird chasing right behind her.
Got Volunteered: When Lucas says someone will have to go up into the dark, spooky chimney to see what’s making all the noise, Findley and Bodhi both look at him expectantly. Cut to Lucas getting all packed up for his adventure.
Lucas: Well..I guess I’m going up in that dark, spooky place.
My God, What Have I Done?: When Lucas’ raisin falls back down the chimney without him, Findley freaks out, asking why they let him go up there and yelling a Big "WHY?!"...in between snacking on the raisin himself.
Offscreen Crash: This happens when Bird chases Avocado through the house trying to give her an unwanted hug.
Overly Narrow Superlative:
Bodhi: [about Lucas] That dude’s the bravest spider I know.
Avocado: He’s the only spider you know.
Spooky Animal Sounds: Lucas and his friends hear scary screeching sounds coming from the chimney and can’t figure out what’s making it. It turns out to be Bird, who got her foot stuck and couldn’t get out.

Home Sweet Home

Lucas, Findley and Bodhi discover a yummy gingerbread house and immediately devour it.

Christmas Episode: While it’s not necessarily the focus of the episode, it does take place during what Lucas and his friends call “Big-Mas”.
Faint in Shock: Findley faints out of happiness upon seeing the gingerbread house.
It's the Best Whatever, Ever!: After eating his fill of the gingerbread house, Findley burps loudly and says it’s the “best day ever!”
Leaving Food for Santa: Lucas and Findley find the cookies that were left out for Santa and think that whoever ate them had purposely saved some for them.
Mundane Object Amazement: On Big-Mas morning, Lucas and Findley are surprised to see that the half-eaten candy house has been replaced by a glorious, brand new gingerbread house. However, it’s still inside its clear plastic box, which the boys think is some kind of invisible forcefield.
Findley: It’s like a magic, impenetrable, reinforced, extra super duper forcefield or something!
The Nose Knows: Findley uses what Lucas calls his “floppy nose thing” to lead himself and Lucas to the source of a delicious smell.
Smelly Feet Gag: While trying to find what’s making such a yummy smell in the house, Findley goes up to a pair of shoes. He quickly finds out that they’re not the source of the good smell.
You Mean X Mas: This episode takes place on “Big-Mas”, the show’s version of Christmas.
