Aloof Big Brother: Albert is initially this to James when the latter tries to emulate him and hang around with him.
Big Brother Instinct: After seeing that his treatment of James was what caused him to run away, Albert tracks him and tries to convince him to go back home. When he refuses, Albert makes up an excuse to stay with him until he can make him go back.
Big Brother Worship: James starts looking up to his older brother but it goes wrong when Albert gets annoyed by his attempts to hang around with him when he wants to spend time with older kids and then when James accidentally breaks his razor blade, which he was using when trying to emulate him.
"Not So Different" Remark: When an embittered Albert lashes out at James for breaking his razor and trying to follow him and Charles calls him out on that by pointing out he was once in his brother's shoes as a newcomer to the family.
Massive Numbered Siblings: With two new adopted kids, the Ingalls now have five kids at the same time, making it harder for them to provide for all.
Resentful Outnumbered Sibling: Albert uses that as a reason to stick with James after he refuses to go back home, claiming that there will be only women with him at home, so he'll run away with him too. In truth, he's only trying to keep close until he can convince James to come back.
