Anachronism Stew: When Fagin is first seen fully grown, a modern cattle tag is visible on his left ear.
Beef Bandage: After a fight with Laura, Nellie is seen placing a big raw beef on her eye.
Bullying a Dragon: Nellie, who already personally witnessed Laura's tendency to react poorly when you push her buttons, decides to taunt her about Albert and how he's replacing her, pushing Laura's insecurities and resentment and questioning if she likes her new brother. It goes as well as you'd expect.
Daddy's Girl: Laura's close bond with her Pa is threatened when Charles begins spending more time with Albert. Charles eventually helps his daughter realize their bond is secure.
Green-Eyed Monster: Laura gets incresingly jealous of her father's bond with Albert, thinking he'll replace her in her father's eye as the son he always wanted. When she realizes her jealousy of Albert drove him away, she feels bad and makes up for it by presenting Albert's cow in the contest and after it wins, she dedicates it to "her brother Albert", which a tearful Albert witnesses as they make amends.
