- Entertainingly Wrong: Edric and Emira correctly deduce that Luz is the half-witch daughter of the human who was sighted on the Boiling Isles around fourteen years prior, but conclude that her secret identity is the Golden Guard.
- Epileptic Trees: The focus of Amity's half of the chapter, as Edric and Emira share their theories about Luz.
- Hand Wave: Amity addresses the absence of the Golden Guard, an important character introduced in the second season of the show (months after the fic began), by explaining that he left on an expedition a few months before Luz arrived on the Isles. She then goes on to privately lampshade that it still doesn't seem to make much sense that he left when he did, before deciding she doesn't actually care all that much.
- If Only You Knew: The twins do bring up the possibility of Luz being the princess based on Amity labeling her that on her scroll's caller ID, but only as a joke in the middle of teasing their baby sister about her obvious crush on the human.Emira: Odds are, that she's actually the Princess, or you and her are totally dating and she's your girlfriend!
