A female, Muslim airline pilot locks herself in the cockpit of her plane midflight and attempts to return the plane to JFK airport. After nearly causing a crash in process and having to be physically restrained by her male co-pilot, she finds herself arrested on suspicion of terrorism. However, SVU gets involved when she claims that her male co-pilot had previously assaulted her and had been doing so on a regular enough basis that she hijacked the plane solely to try and avoid having more contact with him. While Barba tries to make his case, Fin tries to assure that Benson is safe at work following the Sheila Porter incident.
