- Child of Two Worlds: The episode had a gay conservative who was trying (and somewhat succeeding) to make both the gay community and the ultra-conservative community happy.
- Put on a Bus: Logan's demotion results in him not making any appearances for the rest of the TV episodes in the main series, although he does show up in Exiled: A Law & Order Movie and in the Criminal Intent subseries.
- Surprisingly Realistic Outcome: Logan punches Crossley. This gets him demoted to a position as an uniformed officer.
