Sid Maxwell (real name Todd Bissell) is found dead under circumstances that at first lead the detectives to think that it is a case of auto erotic asphyxiation gone wrong. Lupo and Bernard find out that he was killed by a woman named Carrie Sands (Tina Benko) because he had been texting and driving. She got the information she needed from a website run by a group called the Flash Posse. The DA office goes after Jim Leary (Rob Corddry), who owns the site. Leary has done some fact-finding on his own on Bernard and the defense uses the information to make him look bad on the witness stand.
