Tropes That Appear In This Episode:
- Brick Joke: When Tyrannis asks what kind of people would worship someone like Salt, Shlub points out krills worship him. Later in the episode, we see a bunch of krills coming out from the ocean and they bow to him.
- Butt Biter: The citizens of Krapopolis refuse to use the new "poop chairs" (i.e., toilets) Hippocampus has created because they fear that snakes will come out and bite them in the butt. Tyrannis thinks is silly, but when he tries it later, he is immediately bitten by a snake.
- Everyone Has Standards: While the gods of Olympus have committed dirty sexual acts such as incest, falling in love with a baby and locking it in a box, turning a human into a pan flute that they blow into, and bestiality, even they're disgusted when Ares makes his worshippers spank him, and as a result, they demote him into a minor god.
- Hypocrite: When the gods demote Ares to a minor god for making his worshippers spank him which they find disturbing, Ares calls them out on their hypocrisy by pointing out one goddess had sex with her brother, another goddess fell in love with a baby and locked that baby in a box, Pan turned a woman into a pan flute that he blows into, and Poseidon has sex with an octopus.
- If You're So Evil, Eat This Kitten!: The last task for joining the Olympians is to say something devastatingly awful about their sponsor. Salt refuses and gives an impassioned speech about how Deliria is a Jerk with a Heart of Gold. The Olympians gods accept this and assume Deliria was devastated by this, even though she wasn't.
- Nice Guy: Salt is seen as one compared to Deliria and the other gods. He refuses to insult Deliria as part of his initiation; when he gets accepted anyway, he quits because he feels they're all jerks and would rather hang with his old friends, and also the fact that he's really bad at sex and he reveals that's pretty much what the gods do at Olympus is have sex.
- Shy Bladder: Tyrannis refuses to poop in public to prove the citizens that the new "poop chairs" are safe to use. In the end, he goes ahead and does it... and is bit by a snake in the toilet.
- Special Guest: Stephen Root guest stars as Salt.
- Toilet Humour: There is a whole lot of references to poop in the episode's B-plot, since Tyrannis has to deal with a bunch of people leaving the city because their feces aren't being dealt with.
