Written by: John Whittington

Directed by: Carol Banker

Wade squares off against his father in the Tournament of Champions, while Knuckles has a final confrontation against the Buyer.

  • Bookends:
    • The series begins and ends with "The Warrior" playing.
    • In the first bowling shot of Wade in the first episode, Wade's then teammate Dave tells him that Wade needs to bowl a strike to win the match and he only gets a nine with the corner pin wobbling but not falling over. In this episode, it comes down to Wade bowling a strike in the championship against his father Pistol Pete. This one, however, ends with Wade getting a strike and winning the championship match.
  • Chekhov's Gun:
    • The red mascot costume and the AirPods from the previous episode prove essential in Wade and Knuckles turning the tables on the agents.
    • In the Final Battle with The Buyer, Wade's tactic of using bowling balls as ammunition for Knuckles to use for a Fastball Special from the first episode comes back as he uses Knuckles' gauntlets to fill in for the echidna.
  • Diegetic Soundtrack Usage: Courtesy of The Stinger, the series ends with Wade and Knuckles listening to “The Warrior” as they return to Green Hills, Knuckles declaring it his jam.
  • Heroic Second Wind: After Knuckles was drained of his power by The Buyer, Wade manages to Hold the Line for Knuckles to recover and gives a Rousing Speech to emphasize how strong he has become and how strong the echidna warrior truly is. By the time he's out of bowling ammo, Knuckles manages to get up and leap back into the fight swinging, even igniting the Flames of Disaster once again after stealing back his quills' power from The Buyer's mech.
  • Noodle Incident: According to the ESPN Ocho commentators, the last time an alien crashed a bowling tournament was about fifty years prior…
  • Playing with Fire: Knuckles was able to unleash the Flames of Disaster, which imbues his fists with fire, making him more of a heavy hitter than he ever was.
  • Take That!: One of the commentators refers to Reno as "Las Vegas for losers".
  • Uncertain Doom: Agents Willoughby and Mason are defeated when they are caught in a loop between two ring portals, with no indication of what becomes of them.
  • "YEAH!" Shot: The final scene, not counting the mid-credits scene, is Knuckles and Wade jumping in the air to high five, which then freezes as they jump.
