Wade must save Knuckles from a pair of renegade G.U.N. agents in his first real test as a warrior.
- Ascended Meme: Knuckles shouts "Oh no!" in slow motion when Wade sends one of Agent Mason's power gloves flying towards him.
- Epic Fail: After having a whole Imagine Spot for a plan to save Knuckles and preparing all of the items needed to go for it along with Mason's gauntlets, Wade makes one step towards the Ice Cap... And activates the gauntlets, causing his plan to very literally blow up in his face, eliminating both his car and the element of surprise. And then he's dragged off by said gauntlets when he activates their Rocket Punch function before being thrown right into the resort.
- Eye Scream: Wade sprays Sriacha in Agent Mason's eyes in an attempt to distract him.
- I Do Not Like Green Eggs and Ham: Knuckles initially refuses the large amounts of fast food Wade buys for them, saying he only eats grapes and Cool Ranch Doritos. Wade insists he gives them a try, and two scenes later, we see that the fast food containers as well as a bag of Lay's potato chips are nearly empty.
- Imagine Spot: Wade has a fantasy sequence of himself saving Knuckles in a James Bond-esque tuxedo.
- Insult Backfire: When Wade calls Agent Willoughby a "psychotic Uma Thurman-lookalike", she genuinely takes it as a compliment and even thanks him for it.
- Mythology Gag: The ski resort where most of the episode takes place is called Ice Cap.
- "Not So Different" Remark: Knuckles delivers one to Wade when Knuckles laments over his multiple betrayals and tells Wade that his dad abandoned him.
- Oh, Crap!: Wade all but soils himself when the news of his bounty comes over the radio.
- Percussive Maintenance: Knuckles is able to start a truck by punching it.
- Shout-Out: Knuckles glides in front of the full moon with Wade on his back in a shout-out to E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial.
- Trash Landing: When Knuckles glides away from the Ice Cap Ski Resort with Wade holding onto him, Knuckles informs Wade that it is only for short distances. After the gliding stops, Knuckles lands on his feet and Wade abruptly lands in a nearby dumpster.
