Ven's first stop is the Dwarf Woodlands, where he runs into seven dwarfs working in their mine. His first instinct is to follow them, but they believe him to be an intruder, forcing him to chase them down. Once all of them are found, Ven explains that he's looking for Terra, but the dwarfs deny any information about him.
Leaving the mine, Ven passes by the dwarfs' cottage before hearing a scream from the nearby woods. He meets a young girl named Snow White, who is being attacked by Unversed and scared of the woods. With Ven's guidance, Snow White manages to make it out of the woods and into the dwarfs' cottage for shelter. However, the dwarfs themselves come back from work to discover her in their home. She explains how she had gotten trapped in the woods, briefly mentioning how she met a man with a key-shaped sword before being scared by monsters. Ven realizes that Snow White had met Terra, but the dwarfs believe that Terra is the commander of the Unversed. After attempting to defend Terra and his innocence, Ven heads off into the woods to find him, but is attacked by another Unversed, the Mad Treant.
Ven defeats the Mad Treant and emerges into the meadow where Snow White had met Terra. Much to his disappointment, he doesn't find Terra, but an old woman (actually the Evil Queen). The woman explains to Ven that Terra had threatened her about Master Xehanort, leaving a concerned Ven behind...
