A group of Buddhist monks arrive in Arlen, looking for the reincarnation of a beloved Lama. And everyone is shocked when it might be Bobby.
Tropes:
- Angel Unaware: After Bobby "fails" the 2nd test by picking Connie's reflection, everyone disperses. Leaving the monks to reveal he might actually be Sanglug reincarnated after all.Monk: But that was Sanglug's mirror!Rinpoche: I know, but he didn't pick it.Monk: But he used it!
- Exact Words: During the 2nd test, Bobby asks if he can pick anything on the mat. Upon confirmation, he picks Connie's reflection in a mirror.
- Reasonable Authority Figure: Much to Hank's ire, Reverend Stroup has no problem with Bobby being a Buddhist, even going as far as to congratulate him, and encourages it because it can help his spirituality.
- Reincarnation: Bobby finds out that he may or may not be the reincarnation of a Buddhist Lama, with evidence heavily leaning towards "may". However, when he heard about the vow of celibacy he would have to take, he purposely failed his second test so he could continue to date Connie. He technically passed that too, but the head monk was nice enough to call it a failure for Bobby's benefit.
