Go To

With his exterminating job flatlining and Nancy needing help with the bills, Dale attends a vocation vacation to acquire a new skill. But to the annoyance of everyone, he decides on basket weaving. Meanwhile, Boomhauer, Dale, Kahn and Peggy try to replicate a once-in-a-lifetime occurrence for internet fame.

  • An Arm and a Leg: Mr. Brubaker, the manager of the basket weaving building, lost a hand in Vietnam saving his platoon from a grenade. He does not consider the sacrifice worth it, as it ended his own basket making aspirations.
    Mr. Brubaker: What a waste...
  • Black Comedy Burst: After Hank and Brubaker decide to fake a bug infestation to give Dale something to feel good about, after Dale proclaims he's got the situation under control Kitty in the weaving group suddenly declares "I haven't felt this safe since my divorce."
  • Epic Fail: Dale is so bad at basket weaving that even Meegan, the teenager who's shown complete indifference during the weaving class, is better than him.
  • Instant Expert: Hank turns out to be a quick study at basket weaving.
  • Noodle Incident: Kitty in the weaving group alludes to having been in a horrible marriage when she states "I haven't felt this safe since my divorce."
  • The Stoic: Meegan, the teenage girl in the weaving group, seems utterly bored throughout the whole episode. Even during Dale's Imagine Spot of everyone maniacally laughing at him for his crappy basket making skills, Meegan's face zips expressing no emotion.
