Other dub names: Flat Chance (4Kids)
With the help of complex calculations, Dokko proves Krash that he can't jump to the sun. He says that it is as obvious as the fact that the Earth is round. Krash objects, because everybody knows that the earth is actually flat and stands on three elephants standing on a large turtle. Dokko tries to contradict him by showing him a globe and a satellite photo, but this does not convince Krash. He decides to get to the edge of the earth himself and take a picture of the turtle.
Krash equips the boat and departs from the shore. Chiko decides to go with him because he'll need witnesses. They row until the evening and all night. Chiko starts to think that Dokko might be right, but Krash objects. He does not believe that the Earth is round, because this is a boring explanation.
Some time later, Krash sees a strange glow ahead and wakes up Chiko. They have reached the edge of the Earth. Krash pulls out the camera, but the boat shakes and it falls into the water. Krash throws an anchor overboard, and the boat hangs on the edge of a huge waterfall. Krash and Chiko look down in amazement. Chiko states that now no one will believe them for sure.
Tropes:
- Audience? What Audience?: Chiko says that sometimes it seems to him that their world is narrated by someone and they are constantly being watching, pointing at the screen. Krash doesn't understand what he's talking about and shrugs it off.
- Bittersweet Ending: Krash managed to find the edge of the Earth and prove his case, but the camera is lost and it is not at all clear how they will return back.
- Eskimos Aren't Real: Krash does not believe Earth is flat because it is boring. In FUN Union dub, he also believes that the moon is made of cheese.
- Flat World: Krash believes so. The ending heavily implies that he actually was right.
- Series Continuity Error: Krash's Flat World views contradict "The Energy of Snoring", where he and Chiko try to dig to the other side of the world to bring some wind back. His threory turning out to be right also clashes heavily with Earth being depicted as planet in "Space Odyssey". Though both could be justified by Negative Continuity.
