Kenan and Kel are in charge of taking care of Chris' house while he's on vacation. Unfortunately, Kenan forgets to do so and their attempts to fix the house results in the house getting destroyed.
This episode provides examples of:
- Big "WHAT?!": The two policemen say this after Kel "explains" what happened to Chris's friends.
- Bittersweet Ending: Though Chris' house is left destroyed due to Kel's incompetence, it is mentioned by Kenan in the outro that Chris fortunately has the insurance that will fix everything.
- Comically Missing the Point:Officer #1: Open up, police!
Kel: I'm sorry, you must be at the wrong house. We're not the police.
Officer #2: No, no! We're the police! Open up is what we need you to do. - Disaster Dominoes: Everything from Kenan forgetting to take care of the house only ends up getting the entire place completely destroyed.
- Dreadful Musician: Chris is absolutely horrible at the oboe. Kel turns out to be superb when he tries playing it for Norman, but he then decides to play it the way Chris does.
- Epic Fail: Kel's incompetence causes a bunch of stuff to happen while trying to fix the house:
- Kel puts the fish in the bathtub but forgets to turn the water off. This results in the water leaking through the bathroom floor into the living room as well as a hole forming in it.
- Kel doesn't grab the keys as told by Kenan, leading the two to sneak through the back window. This causes the neighbors to call the police in suspicion of breaking and entering.
- Kel puts the kitchen curtains in the oven in an attempt to dry them. This instead causes the curtains to burn and the kitchen to be filled with smoke.
- Explain, Explain... Oh, Crap!:
- Kenan mentions how he is glad to have the week off of work because Chris is on vacation, but immediately finds out he never took care of his house.
- Kenan tells the police they shouldn't take them downtown because they still have to fix everything in the house before Chris comes home, until realizing it's too late anyway.
- For Want Of A Nail: For all of Kel's recklessness, Kenan would have avoided all of his trouble if he just took care of Chris' house as he was told.
- Ironic Echo Cut: Kenan promises to Chris he won't forget to take care of his house. Six days later, Kenan mentions he must be forgetting something.
- Never My Fault: Kel is perplexed that he and Kenan managed to get themselves locked out of Chris' house, despite the fact that he failed to pick up the house keys, which Kenan told him to do before they left. Kenan lampshades this when he calls Kel out on it.
- Noodle Incident: Kel mentions that Kenan somehow broke the window in Roger's car, though Kenan tries to cover it up.Kenan: No, no, no, no! I forgot to tell my daddy that I left my limbo stick in a jar.
- Say My Name: Chris shouts out Kenan's name when he sees his house destroyed.
- Screw This, I'm Outta Here: Kenan and Kel rush to the police station to avoid getting in trouble by Chris.
- That Came Out Wrong: Kel tries to explain the situation to the cops.Kel: Kenan accidentally killed all of Chris' friends. Except for Norman. We got him upstairs in the bathtub.Policemen: WHAT?
