Release Date: December 19, 1998

Kenan must get rid of a rat that invaded Rigby's.

  • Analogy Backfire: Kenan's response to Kel asking him if he would understand what it would be like as a rat being hunted.
Kenan: Let's see. I'm not a rat, never been a rat, and have no plans to become a rat. So, goodnight, Kel!
    Kel: Goodnight. Rat hater!
  • Bait-and-Switch: The mouse traps are heard snapping in the back room, presumably from the rat, but it turns out it was from Kel.
  • Bizarre Taste in Food: Kenan is making a sandwich with peanut butter, ketchup, and bologna.
  • Butt-Monkey: Chris gets whacked with a broom by Kenan and falls unconscious by the 'Stink Bomb'.
  • Captain Obvious: Kel when Kenan finds out the rat and runs off.
Kel: I bet that rat has something to do with all the bites in the food.
  • Delayed Reaction: When Kenan first notices the rat on the store counter, he has a short pause before reacting accordingly.
  • Hypocritical Humor:
    • When Sharla refuses to provide Kenan bologna for his sandwich, Kenan says "[he] has to do everything around here" despite being the one slacking off.
    • Roger teases Kenan about being afraid of rats, only to start panicking himself when Kenan teases about a ladybug being on him.
  • Murder Is the Best Solution: Everyone (besides Sharla) tells Kel that killing the rat is the only way to remove it from the store. It's not until Kenan has a nightmare involving him as a helpless rat that he sides with Kel.
  • Nice Job Breaking It, Hero:
  • Papa Wolf: Kel is very protective of the rat (whom he named Wendell); he shoves Kenan to free it.
  • Strange Minds Think Alike:
    • Kel agrees with Kenan peanut butter and ketchup is good with bologna.
    • Sharla sides with Kel on sparing the rat.
Sharla: Oh, Chris. Do we have to kill Wendell?
Kenan: Oh, now you're calling him Wendell?
  • Tempting Fate:
    • Chris tells Kenan to gently sweep the rat off him with the broom, only for Kenan to bang him repeatedly.
    • Played with. Kenan says the rat is too smart to fall for the mouse traps. Snaps are heard, but it's Kel who ends up falling for them.
  • There Is No Kill Like Overkill: Kenan repeatedly smacks Chris to get rid of the rat... after Chris told him to go gentle.
  • Too Dumb to Live: Kel falls for the mouse traps in the back room.
Kel: Damn! I wanted to eat!
