Kel: Goodnight. Rat hater! - Bait-and-Switch: The mouse traps are heard snapping in the back room, presumably from the rat, but it turns out it was from Kel.
- Bizarre Taste in Food: Kenan is making a sandwich with peanut butter, ketchup, and bologna.
- Butt-Monkey: Chris gets whacked with a broom by Kenan and falls unconscious by the 'Stink Bomb'.
- Captain Obvious: Kel when Kenan finds out the rat and runs off.Kel: I bet that rat has something to do with all the bites in the food.
- Delayed Reaction: When Kenan first notices the rat on the store counter, he has a short pause before reacting accordingly.
- Hypocritical Humor:
- When Sharla refuses to provide Kenan bologna for his sandwich, Kenan says "[he] has to do everything around here" despite being the one slacking off.
- Roger teases Kenan about being afraid of rats, only to start panicking himself when Kenan teases about a ladybug being on him.
- Murder Is the Best Solution: Everyone (besides Sharla) tells Kel that killing the rat is the only way to remove it from the store. It's not until Kenan has a nightmare involving him as a helpless rat that he sides with Kel.
- Nice Job Breaking It, Hero:
- Kenan plans to have the customer take the rat with her, but Kel grabs the rat and it returns to the store.Kenan: Thanks a lot, Kel.
Kel: You know what, I don't think you should thank me. I think I really messed up that time. - Kel opens the rat's cage to give it fresh air (even though the cage has bars), inadvertently leashing it onto the stage audience.
