Tropes:
- Amusing Injuries:
- Miss Piggy spends a good portion of her screentime fighting Annie Sue.
- Animal randomly attempts to maul Rizzo.
- Beauregard and the Swedish Chef hit Animal and Sam with a Frying Pan of Doom.
- Audience Participation: The closing number has the audience join in near the end.
- Breaking the Fourth Wall: "We Didn't Start the Muppets" has the Muppets acknowledge their own puppeteers.
- Crossover: Between A Big Blue House in Tall Pine Grove, Bear in the Big Blue House, and The Muppet Show.
- Flat "What": Miss Piggy's reaction, coupled with Tranquil Fury, when she learns that Annie Sue has an act in "Welcome Back", but she doesn't.
- Fun with Subtitles: During "You Will Be Found", a portion of the song with Beaker singing is subtitled with meeps.
- Furry Confusion: Rowlf lampshades how odd it is that Annie Sue wants to sing "How Much is That Doggy" when he is a dog.
- Heroic BSoD: Near the end, Kermit is ready to give up and end the show early after everything that's gone wrong, believing that The Muppet Show was never meant to be continued. It takes a rousing performance of "You Will Be Found" to snap him out of it.
- Mood Whiplash:
- "You Will Be Found" starts off rather sad with Kermit singing "Have you ever felt like nobody was there? Have you ever felt forgotten in the middle of nowhere? Have you ever felt like you could disappear? Like you could fall, and no one would hear?" Then, Miss Piggy, Fozzie and Theresa urge Bear forward and the song becomes much more cheerful.
- The Stinger has this between Statler and Waldorf:
Statler: You know the one thing I haven’t found?
Waldorf: What’s that?
Statler: A reason to keep coming here!
Both: HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! - Mythology Gag: Among others, the We Didn't Start the Billy Joel Parodies opening has the Muppets sing about their filmography, including the original Muppet Show, Muppets Tonight, The Muppets (2015), The Muppet Movie, The Great Muppet Caper, The Muppets Take Manhattan, The Muppet Christmas Carol, Muppets from Space, Muppet Treasure Island, Muppets Most Wanted, The Muppets (2011), Muppet Babies (2018), Sesame Street, The Jim Henson Hour, A Muppet Family Christmas, Muppet*Vision 3D, Muppets Haunted Mansion, The Dark Crystal, and Fraggle Rock.
- Shout-Out: "We Didn't Start the Fire" and "You Will Be Found" are performed.
