The one behind Calibur's mask is Kento's father, but Touma is not aware of his identity. Just then, a new swordsman, Ren Akamichi, barges into battle, intent on proving his strength and seek Kento's approval. However, Desast, Zooous and Storious are not far, and the three make their move against the heroic swordsmen.
- Curb-Stomp Battle: Rintaro is on the receiving end of one from Zooous, which causes him to fall into a Heroic BSoD.
- Foreshadowing: Rintaro grabs the Tenkuu no Pegasus and Peter Fantasista Ride Books in The Stinger, presaging his Fantastic Lion form debuting in the next episode.
- Freeze-Frame Bonus: Despite being destroyed by Kenzan, if one looks carefully, Desast's soul can be seen floating away, possibly back to his Alter Ride Book to recover.
- O.O.C. Is Serious Business: The normally laid-back Rintaro gets really angry when Zooous is around, due to the latter killing his mentor, the previous Kamen Rider Blades.
- Pun-Based Title: The “Appears” in the title is written as “Kenzan”, like the new Rider who debuts here.
- The Stinger: Rintaro stumbles back into the Sword of Logos' base, still ticked off after being defeated by Zooous, and takes two Ride Books before leaving.
- The Worf Effect: Ren quickly proves himself a worthy member of the Sword of Logos by dispatching Desast - a Megid who gave Buster fits a couple of episodes prior - with ease.
- Wounded Gazelle Gambit: Touma rushes to check on an unknown dazed man that appeared in aftermath of the Piranha's defeat. Unfortunately for him, it was Storious, who used the act to get close to Touma's Swordriver and put a seal on it.
