The Northern Base is defended and Rintaro has gained a new power, but Reika has made off with the Onjuuken Suzune, Dogouken Gekido, and Raimeiken Ikazuchi, as according to Master Logos' requirements to achieve his goal. Touma and the others guess that Ren and Kento could now be Master Logos' final targets. Rintaro deploys, accompaied by Mei and Yuri who intend to protect Rintaro's new power. Touma reestablishes contact with Kento and tries to get him to their side, but with Kento still firmly believing the horrible outcomes he saw will happen and Master Logos suddenly attacking, the task may be far more difficult than Touma thinks it is...

Episode Tropes:

  • Attention Deficit... Ooh, Shiny!: Yuri gets distracted by a passing oden cart, meaning Mei has to go off and make sure he doesn't wander off again.
  • Cannot Spit It Out: Discussed. Touma knows Kento refuses to re-join his friends out of fear of the Bad Future, yet his insistence on not talking about said future is the source of their conflict.
  • Curb-Stomp Battle: Zig-zagged. Sabela can trounce Kenzan alone, but she's practically cannon-fodder against Desast, who knows precisely how to counter her intangibility. She only wins by technicality when Desast takes a finisher meant for Ren.
    • Blades Tategami Hyojuu Senki delivers a proper one to Sabela when he jumps into the fight.
  • Counter-Attack: How Desast is seemingly able to get past Sabela's smoky Flash Step attacks.
  • Dual Wielding: Master Logos fights Saber and Calibur with Gekido and Ikazuchi. What makes this notable is that Gekido is a BFS that even Buster, its usual wielder, wields with two hands.
  • Face–Heel Turn: Desast spends the entire episode trying to goad Ren into one. It may have worked.
  • Food as Bribe: Touma showing up with food keeps Kento from walking out on him because he can't even deny being hungry.
  • Heel–Face Turn: Touma continues trying to get through to Kento, who is simply too stubborn to accept his offer; albeit because the Kurayami has convinced him Touma is destined to die.
  • One-Handed Zweihänder: As seen above, Master Logos wields Gekido effortlessly with one hand, allowing him to wield Ikazuchi in the other.
  • The Reveal:
    • Luna is still sealed within the void she disappeared into, with Rekka temporarily creating a portal that almost allowed Touma to rescue her.
    • As previously hinted, Sophia is an Artificial Human, and her purpose as a Replacement Goldfish for Luna is revealed.
    • Master Logos reveals himself to be the one who manipulated Hayato into sacrificing Luna.
  • Rivals Team Up: Downplayed. Ren wants nothing to do with Desast, but the two unintentionally perform a harmonious attack against Sabela when the opportunity comes up.
  • Shirtless Scene: Ryoga gets one while training within Southern Base's Danger Room.
  • The Snack Is More Interesting: Rintaro is briefly distracted by Yuri holding a steaming bowl of oden, which allows Ren to stomp away without anyone noticing.
  • Taking the Bullet: Desast takes an attack from Sabela meant for Kenzan, seemingly destroying him. He gets better, though.
  • Villain No Longer Idle: Master Logos finally leaves Southern Base for the first time in the series, dueling both Touma and Kento.
  • Wham Shot: Near the end, Storious is shown with the book he stole last episode, with another artificial woman in the background, implied to be created in the same manner as Sophia.
