Summary
The saber in your hand...is a weapon to evolve...power to save your friend...
Rintaro is left traumitized over failing to save Mei. The Megid that has captured her strikes again, increasing the likelihood of not being able to save her. Saber fights the Megid alone and tries to save Mei but with Zooous standing before Saber, the task may be easier said than done. Will Mei be saved in time? And will Rintaro regain his resolve?

- Dual Wielding: Rintaro briefly wields Rekka alongside Nagare while rescuing Touma from danger.
- Fighting Your Friend: Rintaro requests this of Touma to absolve his feelings of doubt. Their duel not only allows Rintaro to vent, it also awakens the Nagare.
- He's Back!: After some soul-searching and a cathartic duel with Touma, Rintaro finally regains his confidence in himself as a swordsman.
- Internal Reveal: A bird from Wonder World tells Yuri about Tassel's whereabouts, after the latter was banished by Master Logos way back in Chapter 26.
- Phlegmings: We get a beautiful view of Logos' spit-filled mouth in one of the episode's final shots.
- Rage Breaking Point: The Neko Megid's (and his) defeat at the hands of the two swordsmen causes Zooous to reach his; resulting in a new, darker form.
- Shut Up, Hannibal!: Touma derides Zooous for calling Rintaro weak, something the Water swordsman needed to hear from him.
- Wham Shot: Nagare glowing, implying it's gained the power to separate people from Mamono just like Rekka and Saikou.
