Narrator: Previously on… Kamen Rider Gotchard!
Houtaro and the others went to Kokonotsu Village, the home of Renge's grandmother, where they "Gotchan-kot" to investigate a mystery!
When the mastermind, the Kyubi Malgam, was defeated by a kick, the hot springs hidden in the village came gushing out!
In the end, it was all because the kitsune used a Chemy's power in order to save the village it protected.
As the season turns to spring, what sort of adventures await...?

The new school year has arrived, and Houtaro has finally become a third-year. Plus his old childhood friend is transferring in this year, and she seems to have feelings for our hero! Suddenly, one of Houtaro's classmates approaches him with a problem: the drama club is in danger of disbanding due to lack of recruits, and asks Houtaro for help in staging a production of Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet.

Will it be springtime for Houtaro and alchemy?

Tropes

  • Actor Allusion: Tsuyoshi/Kiji Brother and Sonoza's actors make an appearance as a Manzai duo. Notably, they wear suits that match the colors of Taro and Sonoi along with holding a pink flamingo prop and wielding a pole-staff respectively. The duo also make a reference to a manga where a hero Drives Like Crazy, alluding to Haruka/Oni Sister doing the same in Donbrothers.
  • Apple of Discord: Preying on their growing distrust for each other, Atropos drives a wedge between Seina and Rinne by claiming that her attack on Seina is Rinne's fault. Rinne attempts to deny this, but realizes that Atropos was, to a degree, telling the truth.
  • Biting the Handkerchief: Renge bites one after seeing Seina showing her affection to Houtaro, picturing how bad it would be to have her as a romantic rival. It somehow makes cracking noises.
  • Call-Back:
    • Kajiki brings up Hijiri as he comments on Houtaro and Seina's "fated reunion".
    • Once again, Sabimaru notices the themes in Houtaro and Seina's surnames, observing that they add up to 100.
  • Childhood Marriage Promise: Seina reveals that when she was a child, Tamami promised her that she'd be Houtaro's wife.
  • Cliffhanger: The episode ends with Rinne forced out of her transformation, Seina a frozen statue, and Gotchard half-immobilized in ice as the Mammoth Malgam prepares to finish him off.
  • Clingy Jealous Girl: Both Rinne and Seina don't take each other's relationships with Houtarou lightly.
  • Curb-Stomp Battle: The Mammoth Malgam is made from Atropos fusing Blizzammoth and four Malice Dolls who are angry over Geryon's defeat. The result is said monster having tonnes of power and sheer strength, enough for it to easy manhandle both Majade and Platina Gotchard at the end of the episode, brushing off their attacks as a minor annoyance.
  • Delayed Reaction: Hopper1 pops out to watch and laugh over the Comedy Club's skit, with Houtaro agreeing that it is hilarious before realising the Chemy is out in the open as he and Rinne scramble to hide it.
  • Dynamic Entry: Right after Lachesis thanks Minato for his part in defeating Geryon, Clotho crashes in through the roof of the Academy.
  • It's All My Fault: Rinne comes to believe that her feelings of jealousy towards Seina led to Atropos targeting her.
  • Love Triangle: One appears to be forming, with Rinne and Seina in conflict over Houtarou (who is largely oblivious).
  • Pop-Cultural Osmosis Failure: Mikuriya's attempt to do a production of Romeo and Juliet is undermined by the fact that Houtaro and most of his friends aren't aware of the play at all, necessitating Mikuriya to give them a quick summary.
  • Save the Villain: Downplayed with Lachesis given that she is in the process of undergoing a Heel–Face Turn, but Minato prevents Supana from finishing Lachesis and Clotho off.
  • School Play: Tsukuru Mikuriya wants to do a production of Romeo and Juliet, but he needs the presence of at least five more club members lest the theatre club be disbanded. Thankfully for him, Houtaro and friends agree to help him out.
  • She Is Not My Girlfriend: Seina asks Rinne if she and Houtaro are an item, given that they wear matching rings and are often seen together. Rinne denies this, though it's apparent that her denial isn't fooling Seina.
  • "The Reason You Suck" Speech: Atropos delivers one to Rinne after she freezes Seina and sics the Mammoth Malgam on Houtaro, with the intention of breaking her.
'"Do you get it now? Your heart is weak. You pretend to be stronger than you really are. That's why everyone you care about... will die."
