During a field trip, Houtarou had to "Gotchanko" and fight Malgams sent by Clotho to attack him.
Thanks to the aid of his friends — along with Kajiki's ardent passion — he succeeded in defeating them!
All the while, Clotho managed to capture the Level 10 Chemy, UFO-X!
With that, the Dark Sisters' terrifying scheme is about to commence...

Clotho brings UFO-X back to her sisters, who subject it to their creepy experiments. Though the Chemy manages to break free from their clutches, Atropos remains unbothered, the secret project she has been working on edging ever closer to completion...

Meanwhile, the Academy is visited by two members of the Union of Alchemists, Licht Kugimiya and Shiori Harima, who inform them that there is a spy in their midst. Before Licht officially begins his investigation into the whereabouts and true identity of the spy, he voices his disapproval of Houtarou's methods, even questioning his merits as a Kamen Rider.
Tropes
- The Bad Guy Wins: The Dark Sisters manage to complete the DreaDriver and infiltrate Furasu High, with Shiori being revealed to be the spy and recapturing Catchula.
- Cliffhanger: The episode ends with Shiori revealed as the spy and her capturing Catchula again.
- Everyone Has Standards: Even Supana disagrees with Kugimiya's use of the investigation to try and discredit Houtarou's merits as a Kamen Rider, if only due to principles rather than anything else.
- Foreshadowing:
- Houtarou mentions in his narration at the start of the episode that their return from Kyoto would mark the beginning of some foreboding events.
- Atropos tells Rinne that the events to come are the latter's fault.
- X-Wizard is briefly shown alongside its fellow Level 10 Chemies during the exposition, presaging its larger role in the winter crossover movie with Kamen Rider Geats.
- Freeze-Frame Bonus: Early in the episode, the screens used to explain the Level 10 Chemies have extra tabs for the last two categories of Chemies, named "Universe" and "Divine Beast."
- Missed Him by That Much: The students were close to finding UFO-X twice. The first time is due to them being too focused over the Kyoto incident and the second time is caused by Supana forcing them to head back to the Academy to brief them about The Mole. Houtarou and Sabimaru follow the Chemy after finding it during their third search.
- The Reveal:
- Chemy law states that Level 10 Chemies like UFO-X cannot be subjugated. This allows UFO-X to escape from the Dark Sisters, though Sabimaru points out through Isaac that Houtarou's approach to Chemies may even allow him to break this rule.
- The Freeze-Frame Bonus as Sabimaru and Renge are explaining the Level 10 Chemies officially acknowledges the final two Chemy categories, and the 20 Chemies within notably seem to be more esoteric than their other 80 compatriots based on the names of each category.
- Time Skip: The events of the episode take place two weeks after Kyoto.
- Wham Shot: Two in a row: the dust settling to reveal Shiori as the second host for the Tarantula Malgam, and her rolling up her left sleeve to display Tainted Veins on her arm.
