Kouta is knocked unconscious by Ryugen's backhanded attack, and Baron fights Ryugen for acting so cowardly. Meanwhile, Takatora mulls over the idea of having to cull the Earth's population down to only one billion people through the use of the Sengoku Drivers, remembering back to the days of first developing them, unaware that even then Ryoma was conspiring against him. When Kouta regains consciousness, he explores Helheim Forest once more, only to be approached by someone unexpected.
- Freeze-Frame Bonus: This episode gives us one that combines Mythology Gag with a dash of Fridge Horror. Note the Driver prototypes from #20-#25◊. If you're having trouble reading them, they read that the belts use Rings, Switches, Medals, USB Memorys, Cards, and Fuestles. This is either just an Easter Egg, or else we need to REALLY begin questioning just WHO is backing Yggdrasil's research.
- Poor Communication Kills: Once again averted, when Takatora has his first encounter with an Overlord. Kouta explains what he is, and Takatora not only believes him, but it opens up a mutual trust and understanding between them, since they each realize that the other has the same goal and noble intentions... too bad Sid fights Takatora and Mitsuzane takes up his mantle, thus causing Kouta to distrust him all over again.
