Mr. Cat claims that cats are the best species to exist. To Kaeloo's chagrin, the others believe him.
"Let's Play the Superior Species" contains the following tropes:
- Bittersweet Ending: Mr. Cat gets punished for his actions, but Stumpy and Quack Quack still believe that cats are superior to all other species and that they are somehow inferior just for not being cats.
- Cooldown Hug: Mr. Cat hugs Bad Kaeloo while she's beating Stumpy up, unintentionally calming her down enough to detransform.
- Curse Cut Short: Quack Quack drops a bathtub on Stumpy's head to prevent him from finishing his song, which is heavily hinted to be about autofellatio.Stumpy: (singing) I would like to be a cat! And be able to lick my own -
Quack Quack, clearly disgusted, drops a bathtub on him - Didn't Think This Through: Kaeloo gets mad at Mr. Cat and goes on a rant about how she will give him the Silent Treatment. Halfway through the rant, she realizes that it would break her heart if she actually stopped talking to him and she gives up on the idea within mere seconds.
- Does This Remind You of Anything?: Stumpy decides that he wants to become a cat, and he says he's a "cat trapped in a squirrel's body" and then tries to get surgery to turn himself into a cat.
- Exact Words: When Kaeloo and Mr. Cat get into an argument, Kaeloo goes on a rant about how she will "never speak to Mr. Cat again". Halfway through the rant, she realizes that she wouldn't be very happy about not being able to talk to her best friend, so she decides to mime words to him because technically she wouldn't be "speaking" to him.
- Fantastic Racism: Mr. Cat claims that cats are better than all other species, and by that logic, he is superior to the rest of the characters because they aren't cats.
- Hypocritical Humor: Kaeloo calls Mr. Cat a "monster" right before Hulking Out. Mr. Cat even points out the irony in this.
- The Internet Is for Cats: Despite the show being set in a World of Funny Animals, cat videos still exist, and are apparently quite popular.
- Silent Treatment: Kaeloo decides to give Mr. Cat the silent treatment until he concedes that her point of view is correct. Halfway through the rant, she realizes that Mr. Cat is a Living Emotional Crutch to her and she doesn't actually want to stop talking to him, and mere seconds after declaring that she will never speak to him again, she starts crying and then continues talking to him as if nothing happened.
- You Monster!: After Kaeloo realizes that Mr. Cat has convinced Stumpy and Quack Quack that they're inferior just because they're not cats and convinced them to get surgery to look like cats, she is not happy.Kaeloo: I know what species you are, Mr. Cat! You're a monster!
