Everyone scrambles to find a way to survive when they find out that the planet will be destroyed in the next 24 hours.
"Let's Play the End of the World" contains the following tropes:
- Be Careful What You Wish For: After Kaeloo's Heroic Sacrifice, a tearful Stumpy wishes he could have sacrificed himself instead. Suddenly, they swap places and he is left on the exploding planet. He survives, somehow.
- Better to Die than Be Killed: Stumpy decides to hang himself rather than get killed as the planet is destroyed. He fails, as usual.
- Comet of Doom: Smileyland gets hit with one of these, but everyone manages to escape alive.
- Dying Declaration of Love: Immediately after seeing the meteor, Mr. Cat tells Kaeloo that he's been in love with her ever since he met her. She mistakes it for a joke.
- Eat the Camera: Stumpy does it when he panics and runs around screaming.
- The End of the World as We Know It: At the end of the episode, the planet gets destroyed by a meteor, but it's back to normal by the next episode. Nobody dies, fortunately, since everyone escapes except Stumpy, who survives due to his status as an Iron Butt Monkey.
- Heroic Sacrifice: Kaeloo tries to do this, but Stumpy accidentally winds up doing it for her.
- Kiss Up the Arm: Mr. Cat does this to Kaeloo while he confesses his love for her.
- Lots of Luggage: Pretty packs several suitcases when she is told to bring a "bare minimum" of stuff.
- Mayan Doomsday: The characters panic about the end of the world since the Mayans predicted that the world would end in 24 hours from the time of the start of the episode. Kaeloo herself launches a meteor onto the planet, but thankfully everyone survives.
- Pain-Powered Leap: Kaeloo does this after getting hit on the rear by a tiny burning meteorite.
- Skewed Priorities: Pretty is upset when she hears that the world will be destroyed... because she doesn't know what to wear for the explosion.
