Recap / Kaeloo S 1 E 8 Lets Play Teachers

Go To

Kaeloo forces Stumpy to play a school-themed game where she is a teacher and he is a student. Stumpy is bored out of his mind - until Mr. Cat enrolls himself at the school.

"Let's Play Teachers" contains the following tropes:

  • Blunt "Yes": "Blunt No" variant. Stumpy gives Kaeloo a long and detailed description of his favorite comic book series, Mr. Coolskin, but she decides that the main four are going to play "teachers" instead of the game Stumpy suggested.
Stumpy: Have you been listening to what I said here or what?!
    Kaeloo: No.
  • Book Dumb: Stumpy is unable to answer anything correctly in class.
    Kaeloo: Who discovered America?
    Stumpy: Uhh... Mr. Coolskin?
  • Confused Question Mark: Several question marks appear next to Kaeloo when she asks Stumpy who Mr. Coolskin is.
  • Driven to Madness: Kaeloo is driven insane by Mr. Cat and Stumpy's antics.
  • Intelligence Equals Isolation: Quack Quack's "classmates", Stumpy and Mr. Cat, revile him for being a nerd, despite the fact that Mr. Cat himself is highly intelligent.
  • Mischief for Punishment: Kaeloo warns Stumpy that if he continues to act out, she will send him out of the classroom. Stumpy decides, at Mr. Cat's suggestion, to misbehave on purpose so he can escape.
  • "Shaggy Dog" Story: Stumpy's attempts to get kicked out of school result in him being forced to write lines.
  • Standing in the Hall: Stumpy tries to get Kaeloo to give him this punishment or send him home. She decides to make him write lines instead.
  • Stern Teacher: Kaeloo acts like one while roleplaying as a teacher.
  • Writing Lines: Kaeloo tries to make Stumpy write "I will never again hit my classmate with a baseball bat" a thousand times.
