Recap / Kaeloo S 1 E 48 Lets Play Figurines

Go To

As a reward for being a loyal customer, the yogurt company sends Quack Quack a present: figurines of the main four. While Kaeloo and Quack Quack are happy, Stumpy is not satisfied with having just one figurine and plans to steal everyone else's, while Mr. Cat tries to sue the company for making merchandise in his likeness without permission.

"Let's Play Figurines" contains the following tropes:

  • Bullying a Dragon: Stumpy threatens Bad Kaeloo by attempting to burn the figurine of Kaeloo over the fire. However, Bad Kaeloo is quick to point out that he made a figurine of Kaeloo, and not Bad Kaeloo. Naturally, Stumpy is then beaten up for his troubles.
  • Deal with the Devil: Stumpy makes one to get magical powers.
  • Disproportionate Retribution: Stumpy asks his friends if he can play with his figurines. They refuse. What does he do to them? He makes a Deal with the Devil, becomes a witch doctor, learns voodoo magic and then uses it to force them to become his slaves.
  • Exact Words: Kaeloo, Quack Quack and Mr. Cat refuse to let Stumpy play with their new figurines. Later, they realize that Stumpy has stolen the figurines. When they call him out on it and say he stole them, he says that he borrowed them. Kaeloo says borrowing is when you ask someone before taking their things, but Stumpy points put that he did ask - but they refused.
  • Furry Reminder: When Kaeloo runs out of sewing thread, she realizes that Mr. Cat has whiskers and she can use one.
  • Laser-Guided Karma:
    • Quack Quack manages to threaten Mr. Cat into doing whatever he wants.
    • Stumpy gets sent to Hell.
  • Ninja Pirate Zombie Robot: Stumpy tries to play a game called "ninja terrorists".
  • Oh, Crap!: Stumpy gets this expression when Bad Kaeloo that while he made a voodoo of Kaeloo, he did not make one of Bad Kaeloo.
  • Pain-Powered Leap: Mr. Cat does this when Stumpy pokes a voodoo doll of him with a sharp object.
  • Sarcasm-Blind: Kaeloo asks if she can use one of Mr. Cat's whiskers. He says yes in the most sarcastic way possible, but she thinks he meant it and yanks one out before he can protest.
  • Ship Tease: Kaeloo asks Mr. Cat if she can borrow his figurine. The latter obliges. Later, Kaeloo is seen making the Mr. Cat figurine and the Kaeloo figurine kiss each other on the lips.
  • Voodoo Doll: Stumpy makes a Deal with the Devil to turn the figurines into voodoo dolls so he can inflict pain on anyone who doesn't obey him.
