Detective Kaeloo helps Stumpy find his missing sister.
"Let's Play Detectives" contains the following tropes:
- Deliberately Monochrome: In the opening scene, everything is black and white except for the red lipstick and high heels Stumpy is wearing (he's dressed as a girl).
- I Was Just Joking: After Kaeloo finds out that Mr. Cat built a cloning machine, she complains that it feels too much like a science fiction episode instead of a detective episode, and sarcastically asks him why he doesn't add some bazookas and lasers. Which turns out to be a bad question to ask someone who owns three of them.
- Noir Episode: The main plot point of this episode. Even though it seems to go into the black and white colors for most of the episode, it all reverts back to normal colors once Mr. Cat enters the picture.
- Splash of Color: In the Deliberately Monochrome segments, the only color that can be seen besides black and white is red.
- Tempting Fate: When Kaeloo was yelling at Mr. Cat for bringing in clones to the game since it now dwells too much into the "science fiction" aspect, she mentions that he may as well bring in bazookas and lasers. All Mr. Cat needed to hear.
