"Oh boy, rabbit stew! Here goes..."

Game Warden Felix is a 1960 Felix the Cat cartoon, and the 49th episode of the Felix the Cat (Joe Oriolo) series.

The cartoon starts in a lovely forest, with Rock Bottom popping his head out of a tree, saying he's going to hunt and nobody is going to stop him. Disguised as a tree, he grabs a shotgun and heads off. Not far away, Felix is serving as a Game Warden, watching over the forest with a pair of binoculars. Felix gets a message on the radio that Rock Bottom is poaching in his territory. Felix heads out to look for him, and Rock hides in his tree disguise as Felix rests next to it. Unfortunately for Rock, he sneezes, giving away his position to Felix. Felix assumes the tree just sneezed at first, but quickly realizes that it could be Rock. He heads back and sees the tree has vanished. Felix continues searching, just barely missing Rock, who was hiding inside of a tree stump. Later, Rock pops out of a bush and sees a rabbit getting out of his hole, and arms his gun. The rabbit then starts moving extremely fast between the two holes. Rock tries to get creative and tries to split his gun in half to put it in both of the holes at once, but he ends up misfiring the gun, shooting himself right in the face, but he comes out unharmed, with only his clothes damaged. Rock continues chasing after the rabbit, firing his gun ablaze, but missing every shot. Rock then sees Felix and hides inside of a log. Felix turns his tail into a telescope and looks around, and sees someone wearing a bear skin crawling on the ground. He immediately deduces that it's Rock in disguise, and grabs a stick as a makeshift club to defend himself. Felix seemingly finds him in a bush and whacks him, only to find out it was a real bear he whacked, which angrily chases him. Felix tries to hide in a tree, but the bear climbs after him and corners him on a branch.

Nearby, Rock hears Felix calling for him, happy to know that the cat is out of his hair and that he can hunt as much as he wants to. The bear lunges at Felix, who leaps into the air. The bear crashes into the ground and passes out, and Felix lands on him safely. Rock finds out Felix is loose, and decides he has to shake him off. Felix follows a trail of footprints Rock left behind, going through a bush, up a hill and through water—only to find out that the trail was being left by a frog hopping in a shoe, realizing Rock tricked him. Seeing that the coast is clear, Rock uses his Moose Call, and a moose pops out of a bush. Rock thinks it'll look great over his mantlepiece, and shoots at it—only for find out it was a trap set by Felix, who used a fake head on a stick to bait him. Felix places him under arrest for poaching, but Rock shoots a tree limb, which falls on Felix and conks him out for a moment. Felix notices Rock dropped his Moose Call, and he uses it to send an S.O.S. signal to all the animals in the forest. Rock realizes what's going on and makes a break for it as the animals start attacking him. Felix tops it off by using a deers antlers as a slingshot to hit rock with a watermelon, knocking him out. Back at his post, Felix signals HQ that he's captured Rock, who is tied up next to him. Felix stands proud as the cartoon irises out.
