Felix and Vavoom is a 1959 Felix the Cat cartoon, and the 45th episode of the Felix the Cat (Joe Oriolo) series. It is the debut episode of series bit-player Vavoom.
Felix is peacefully driving through a snowbound region when he hears a loud cry of "VAVOOM!" that blows a bunch of snow away. Felix ponders what happened for a moment, and moves on, only for the noise to pop up again, causing an avalanche that nearly buries Felix and his car. Felix suddenly sees a crowd of people running away in terror, and one of them, shouting "Vavoom is coming!" One of them hides in Felix's dashboard, and Felix asks him what Vavoom is. The little guy points away, just in time to see an impish character knocking down several trees with his loud voice. Felix is impressed, but hides as Vavoom wanders nearby. Felix decides to follow him, and sees him drill a hole through a mountain with his voice. Not far away, Professor and Rock Bottom are flying in a helicopter. Rock Bottom is spying through his binoculars, and sees a trail of diamonds laying on the ground, which are being eaten by Vavoom. The villains spring into action and lower a noose from the helicopter, which successfully captures Vavoom and keeps him hanging in mid-air, unable to speak. Felix sees this and gives chase, hanging on to Vavoom's legs as the helicopter ascends. Felix urges Vavoom to use his voice to free them, but the rope keeps him from making anything but a whimper. Professor then urges Rock to cut the rope.
In the second half, Rock abruptly forgets what he's supposed to be doing, so Professor gives him a recap. Rock returns to cutting the rope—just as the helicopter blindly flies into a mountain, while Felix and Vavoom land safely on it. The helicopter conveniently lands on the field of diamonds, so Professor and Rock start gathering them. Meanwhile, Felix and Vavoom start crossing the mountains back to the diamond field. Professor sees this through the binoculars, and prepares a cannon to attack Vavoom with just as Felix and Vavoom arrive on the scene. The cannonball fires into Vavoom, but he simply grabs it with his mouth and spits it back at the villains, blowing up their cannon and sending them landing nearby in a daze. Professor is persistent and still wants to get the diamonds, so Rock Bottom goes behind a push and hastily assembles a cheap Felix the Cat costume to trick Vavoom with it. Rock gets to work gathering the diamonds with it, but his cover is quickly blown by Felix. Vavoom then blows Rock away through several trees. Felix grabs the bag of diamonds, gets in his car and heads home. Not far away, Vavoom makes a friendly cry to Felix, who waves and laughs as the cartoon ends.

- Ad-Break Double-Take: Lampshaded; after the commercial break, Rock Bottom basically asks Professor to do a recap of the first half of the episode for him, nothing that he forgot because of how stupid he is.
- Big Eater: Vavoom eats diamonds like its rock candy!
- Dumb Muscle: Lampshaded. Rock Bottom admits he's this to Professor."Excuse me, boss, I forgot what I'm supposed to do. I'm so stupid!"
- Paper-Thin Disguise: Rock Bottom dons a cheaply made Felix costume to trick Vavoom, but the real Felix immediately shows up to blow his cover.
