- Birthday Episode: It's Mildew's birthday in this episode, but he keeps being shushed and ignored.

- The Red Guy makes a cameo in Hell, where a chart pierces his eye.
- Space Ghost also makes a brief appearance.
- Election Day Episode: It's the mayoral election in this episode, but no one is interested in voting because Huck always runs unopposed. So, he creates a fake opponent called Raspberry Rover.
- Eye Scream: Running Gag
- Captain Caveman gets a needle jabbed into his eye when Yogi is distracted
- The Red Guy says that it's the first day in 1,000 years that paper didn't hit his eye. Then the chart pokes his eye and he screams.

- Food Coma: Augie collapses face-first into the table after eating too many donuts.
- Gone Horribly Right: Huck creates Raspberry Rover as his opponent in the mayoral election, but Raspberry Rover does too well in the polls, and his policies end up ruining the town.
- Hell: The poll chart reaches Hell, where the Red Guy dwells.
- Insane Troll Logic: Huckleberry's solution to Augie's weight gain is to replace her donuts with jelly-filled ones, reasoning that jelly contains fruit.
- Invented Individual: Huckleberry makes a fake opponent called Raspberry Rover in order to convince the citizens of Jellystone to vote in the election. Raspberry is the opposite of Huck in every way.
- Mythology Gag: Raspberry Rover, who is Huck painted red, could be based on this wrongly colored promotional image of Huck◊.
- No Challenge Equals No Satisfaction: Huck is disappointed no one cares about the election because he always runs unopposed and finds being mayor without the electoral progress unsatisfying.
- Off the Chart: Huck's poll results are so low, that the chart goes down into the pits of Hell.
- Politicians Kiss Babies: Raspberry Rover kisses babies, as well as Peter Potamus.
- Slave to PR: Due to being elected as Raspberry Rover, Huck has to go through with his crazy campaign promises.
