- Hand-or-Object Underwear: Petra hides her nudity behind Mateo's raincoat in the closet.
- Hands-On Approach: How Dennis teaches Jane how to properly play minigolf.
- Marilyn Maneuver: Done by Jane when the wind blows up her dress as she walks along the sidewalk. Subverted when the narrator revisits said scene, and it turns out her dress was just snagged on the coffee shop doorway.
- Operation: Jealousy: Petra starts schmoozing on Rafael at the Fairwick bar because she's trying to make Chuck jealous.
- The Reveal: Petra was lying to the police; she's been communicating with Anezka.
- Right Behind Me: In frustration, Petra says that going out with Chuck was self-punishment and that she was embarrassed to be seen with him, just as he walks up behind her.
