The Mask Of General Kiiro is found, but accidentally ends up on the face of Scruffy, the noble dog and Jade’s pet. To get Scruffy back, Jade uses the talismans to give Mordegai the Pig and Egbert the Rooster (visiting town at the time) their powers back, bring Super Moose to life, and give herself super strength. Together they form the T-troop.
This episode provides examples of:
- Arson, Murder, and Jaywalking: After learning from the Hanafuda Cards where the next Oni Mask is located at and the mask removal ingredient is Japanese rice, Uncle orders Tohru to boil the rice, Jackie to find the mask, and Jade to read the no pets allowed sign in his shop.
- Animal Superheroes: Mordecai, Eggbert and Super Moose.
- Badass in Distress: Despite being empowered by the Ox talisman, Jade is still captured by Scruffy/Kiiro.
- Bat Out of Hell: Kiiro’s Shadowkhan resemble huge batlike creatures.
- The Bus Came Back: Mordegai the Pig and Egbert the Rooster return after last being seen in season 3.
- Dartboard of Hate: Hak Foo has some crude dummies of Jackie as punching bags.
- "I Know You're in There Somewhere" Fight: Jade tries this on Scruffy, to no avail.
- New Powers as the Plot Demands: The Ox talisman for some reason gives Jade a muscular upper body; something it never did before.
- No Animals Allowed: Uncle forbids animals from being in his shop and gets annoyed when Jade, Jackie, and Farmer McDonald ignore that rule and take Scruffy, Mordecai, and Egbert into his shop
