Jade realizes her school project, a booth for the school fair is past due. Her idea? A petting zoo with some very special animals.
- Contagious Cassandra Truth: When Drew sees the animals use their magic himself, he tries to explain what happened in class, only for him to not be believed the same way Jade isn't. Jade uses the opportunity to humiliate and tease him for always doing the same to her.
- Nice Job Breaking It, Hero: Jade takes all 9 talisman animals to school and out of the safety of section 13, giving Daolon Wong a chance to snag them.
- Skeptic No Longer: Drew realizes Jade has been telling the truth about magic when he sees the animals using their abilities, and wonders what else she has told the truth about. But when he tries to tell the rest of the class he is met with the same treatment Jade is.
- Tranquil Fury: Jackie when he tells Jade to stay at school while he, Uncle, and Tohru retrieve the animals.
- Unwitting Instigator of Doom: Tohru playing the carnival game of ringing a bell with a hammer causes the bell to fall right in front of the animals, startling them and activating their powers.
