The Dark Hand infiltrate a prison to open Xiao Fung's portal.
This episode provides examples of:
- Affably Evil: Xiao Fung is fine with being in prison since its way better than the netherworld and happily introduces himself to Finn and Ratso aside from blowing them into a wall to demonstrate his "breaking bones" wind power.
- Befriending the Enemy: Jackie while disguised as "Chance" tries to socialize with the Dark Hand. Ratso falls for it and is devastated when someone takes off Jackie's fake face.
- Blow You Away: Xiao Fung's power.
- Borrowed Catchphrase: Uncle takes an old lady's paper fan with Jackie's "I'MSORRYI'LLBRINGITBACKTHNKYOU!" in a calmer and ironically friendlier tone.
- Delivery Guy Infiltration: Chow and Hak Foo dress up as delivery guys and sneak the Pan Ku box into the prison inside one of the packages.
- Didn't See That Coming: Jackie and Black when Valmont, upon being confronted, immediately surrenders and agrees to be arrested.
- Even Evil Has Standards: Shendu comes up with a plan to pretend to rob a bank so the authorities will imprison them allowing them to open Xiao Fung's portal. However, Valmont being head of a big name crime syndicate, refuses to rob a common bank.
- I Surrender, Suckers: Subverted. The Dark Hand quickly give up while committing a bank robbery in order to find the next demon gate. Jackie and Black are already suspicious why that happened, as well as being sent to a specific prison.
- Irony: Jackie gets busted out of prison by the others, only to say he needs to be in there for his mission. When he tries to tell the guards to re-arrest him, they have no idea who he is and question whether or not to open the gate for him.
- Kid Has a Point: When Jackie sees a dug hole in Valmont's solitary cell, he decides to follow and as usual tells Jade to "stay here". Jade points out "here" is a prison. Jackie stutters and lets her come along.
- Manchild: Ratso actually enjoys being in prison, due to having his meals prepared and getting to regularly play games like baseball. "Chance" is able to get in good with him by playing to his interests.
- My God, What Have I Done?: Jackie tries to call for someone for help, but Uncle outright thinks it's a crank call and ignores him. After talking to Jade, he realizes the call was legit and screams in comedic fashion.
- Nice Job Breaking It, Hero: "Chance" snags the Pan Ku box from Finn and Ratso and runs into a prison laundry room, too bad that's where the wind demon's portal was located.
- No Honor Among Thieves: Despite the Demon Sorcerers forcing Shendu to go about freeing them, Xiao Fung only wants to free Shendu and Valmont so he will not be stuck with the job of releasing his siblings himself, showing that despite berating Shendu for his treachery that they are still self serving.
- Pragmatic Villainy: Xiao Fung agrees to help bust Valmont and Shendu out of solitary confinement, as otherwise he'd have to free his other siblings all by himself.
- Prison Episode: Captain Black has Jackie go undercover as a prison inmate to foil the Dark Hand opening the wind demon's portal.
- Running Gag: The secret code, "Chinchilla" and/or someone wondering what a chinchilla is.
- Series Continuity Error: At the start of the episode we see Valmont/Shendu wearing in the sorcerer's robe Shendu mentions in "And He Does His Own Stunts" and is seen wearing in "Queen of the Shadowkhan". Both of these episodes occurring after this one.
- Voluntary Shapeshifting: Xiao Fung disguises as a prison inmate.
- We Need a Distraction: Ratso and Finn start a food fight in the cafeteria, as a distraction to keep the guards busy.
