Artistic License – Biology: Jade accidentally turns Jackie into a kangaroo which suspiciously have a pouch. Odd thing is that only female Kangaroos are the only ones have pouches. Of course, one must take into account the bizarre nature of the Monkey Talisman's power and that Jade not knowing a thing about kangaroos probably help answers the confusion.
Cruel Elephant: Jade briefly turns Tohru into an elephant during the fight over the Monkey Talisman.
Didn't Think This Through: In the fight over the Monkey Talisman, Jade thinks it is a brilliant idea to turn Tohru into an elephant. Jackie lampshades this as Tohru attempts to trample him.
Dramatically Missing the Point: When Jade, stuck in the form of a monkey, tries to tell Jackie who she is by drawing an arrow and standing on it, Jackie thinks it's pointing in the direction Jade is at and fails to make the connection.
Early-Installment Weirdness: One that actually applies to the episode no less. When Jade tries to use the Monkey Talisman to turn a log into a "death ray", it instead turns into a living manta ray before she changes it back. When she immediately tries to turn the Dark Hand Enforcers into animals, every inanimate object she hits becomes the shape of the animals she declares.
I'm a Humanitarian: While the Dark Hand bickers over how to finish Chan off, Tohru then suggests turning Jackie into something they could eat.
Jackie: Jade turned Ratso into a rat and herself into a monkey? I'm a monkey's uncle.
What Happened to the Mouse?: We never find out if the monkey that accidentally got turned into a giraffe ever got changed back.
Zerg Rush: Jade invokes this by calling to the monkeys for help (including one that got turned into a giraffe). They answer and chase the Dark Hand away.
