This volume contains the following tropes:
- Drunk with Power: When Shidou gets all the powers of the spirits he enters a confident state of flirtation and eventually loses his mind and starts destroying everything.
- Erotic Eating: Yamai twins are sharing a ice cream together in a erotic way to seduce Shido.
- Gender Bender: Spirits try to kiss Shido but he turns into Shiori using Haniel's power to avoid them.
- Kill Sat: Ratatoskr is revealed to have a satellite laser called Dainsleif to kill Shidou in case he gets out of control. This is later used, although it is unknown if it would work as the attack is blocked by Phantom.
- Love Epiphany: Tohka realizes that her desire to save Shido isn’t just repaying a debt; she’s actually in love with him.
- Mind-Control Music: Shidou at one point uses Miku's angel to control people in the streets.
- Not Himself: First Shido becomes extremely flirtatious with every girl in sight (even Ellen), then he sounds unusually relieved to see Mana and implies that she was captured, and flies into an Unstoppable Rage at the mere sight of DEM's forces.
- Person of Mass Destruction: Once Shidou loses control of his power, he is able to destroy walls and windows, as well as later entire forests and a plane, without even really trying.
- Role Swap Plot: This time, it’s the Spirits who need to earn Shido’s affection and seal his powers with a kiss.
- Shapeshifting Seducer: Natsumi thinks her real body is not enough to seduce Shido so she uses Haniel's power to turn into her onee-san form.
- Split Personality: Origami's old and new personalities are arguing with each other about putting medicine to Shido's drink.
- Tears of Remorse: Kotori sheds these when she's about to fire the Kill Sat on Shido, and later when she's apologizing to him for almost going through with it.
- The Tease: After losing control, Shido's alpha side kicks in and starts to tease random girls like Ellen.
- What the Hell, Hero?: Origami gives one to Kotori and Ratatoskr in general for setting up a Kill Sat to destroy Shido if he ever lost control of the Spirit power that they tasked him with sealing in the first place.
