- Beware the Silly Ones: Noodle Burger Boy, the goofy-looking mascot, puts up a heck of a fight with his robotic arm, laser eyes, and condiment gun.
- Call-Back: Chloe thinks back on Goh's...attempt to tell her about the Darkest Day story in the past.
- Continuity Nod: Gloria Daffodil appears to greet Chloe to Galar.
- Eldritch Location: It's noted that the car with Maccadam's inside sticks out for strangeness even on the train.
- Funetik Aksent: Gloria speaks with one of these, and playfully teases Chloe for trying to do one herself.
- Grew a Spine: Talia finally stands up to her parents to defend her children after they call them lost causes.
- Lower-Deck Episode: Not counting the Galarian parts, this story focuses on the Trainer trio for the Train side, and Talia for the Pokémon side.
- Suck E. Cheese's: Alain's group seemingly ends up in a bar filled with mascot-like robots in the Maccadam Car.
- Tampering with Food and Drink: How Vox took over the car - once Ogami took control of Noodle Burger Boy with a tampered computer card, he had him apply something to the food that worked as some sort of virus that enabled the demon to hijack a small army of transformers.
- There Are No Therapists: Finally averted for Parker as he's seeing one to treat his anger issues during his time in juvie.
- This Is Gonna Suck: Chloe winces on learning that she's something of a pseudo-celebrity at her new college, meaning that there will be more drama in her future. However, Gloria remarks that things will calm down by the time she starts attending, and that she'd have similar issues in any other school.
