- The Cameo: Lio is shown on a phone conversation with Oscar, staying behind in Xochtil City.
- Catapult Nightmare: Professor Cerise has a nightmare of a surgeon with One-One's voice about to inject something into his body before he wakes up.
- Commonality Connection: Kaito helps Chloe relax — when Oscar accidentally pushes her Berserk Button — by stating that her pride in knowing about the demons is similar to Magine and her love of fortune-telling.
- "Could Have Avoided This!" Plot: Oscar asks that if Asher had a trigger to undo Kaito's "Enlightened" state, they could've talked to him and asked him to remove it sooner. Asher admits that he had other things to worry about at the time.
- Explain, Explain... Oh, Crap!: When Cutanner and Ricky eplain how Kaito became enlightened when muttering about birds and crocodiles, Chloe reveals that the covenant Kaito got into was with Agares, the second-ranked Goetia.
- Fainting: Renji does this when Kaito, on top of Juran, approaches him and Chryssa.
- Fighting from the Inside: Kaito does this after Asher reveals a Trigger Phrase. We don't get to see the internal struggle, but Kaito snaps out of being "enlightened".
- Flat "What": Rey's reaction to Kaito saying that Asher is "Au-san's kid".
- Internal Reveal: Everyone in the phone conversation learns that Asher is "Au-san's kid" whereas Oscar learns Asher was formerly Kage.
- Morton's Fork: Ai is stuck in a big one. If he doesn't give Lampetia's heart to Specter, the Figure will undo everything he did on Yusaku and confess this to Den City. If he does, then he'll just rouse Specter's suspicions — as Specter knows that it's an Apex child who had it — and push him into a corner. Ai is screwed no matter what.
- Mythology Gag: When Rey asks how Specter met London, Specter summarizes how he was assaulted by Gladion who assumed he was London before he stared at his crotch (because London has sequins decorating his pants) and realized this was the wrong person.
- Noodle Implements: The story Kaito tells his friends about the events of Rey Mysterio versus the Cosmos involves jaguars, gears and burritos.
- Noodle Incident: Rey notes that when he told his wife about being aligned to Quetzalcoatl — which meant showing his reptilian pupils — she almost got a knife on him.
- Oh, Crap!: When Oscar (unintentionally) insults Chloe's love of demons, Specter is already grabbing her arms before she goes berserk again.
- Oh, No... Not Again!: Flint states this when Kaito is in his "enlightened" state.
- The Reveal: Oh so many for an Intermission.
- What was causing Kaito's "enlightened" self back in Rey Mysterio versus the Cosmos? Turns out he was tricked into making a covenant with Agares, the second-ranked Goetia.
- Asher knows who Kyler is, as he's surprised that he's still alive.
- The figure's name is Austen Plane — the same one from Augustine's nightmares.
- Ai and Yusaku's numbers are the same because Ai puts Yusaku under hypnosis and their numbers are connected to one another.
- Rey's aligned to Quetzalcoatl, hence the reptilian pupils.
- Kaito is whom Yugure/Au-san/Auric based his form on.
- A passenger can have up to three covenants placed on at any time. Any more than that is catastrophic.
- Professor Cerise is found by Indigo/Kyler who somehow has the face of the professor himself.
- Running Gag:
- Juran's fear of ghosts show up when he freaks out at the Rotomphone, Rotomdex, and Specter.
- People taking in Rey's height of 5' in disbelief, even moreso when he reveals his age (nearing 50).
- Spit Take: Asher spits out his hot chocolate when he sees Kaito.
- Tempting Fate: Renji notes that he's so hungry that he can eat a Tyrantum. Cue Kaito on Juran.
- Trigger Phrase: Asher placed one on Kaito — Break Out — to help him get out of the covenant that Agares placed onhim.
- Wham Line: Asher screams "Kyler?!" in shock, revealing that he knows the thief.
- Wham Shot: Indigo/Kyler reveals his face...and it's of Professor Cerise.
- Worth It: Gaon says this after Snowy freezes him with Powder Snow.
