The gang needs to escape from a haunted art museum.
Tropes:
- Body of Bodies: The Docent, upon taking physical form, is nothing but arms and hands arranged into the shape of a creature with four legs and a face. Worse still, close observation will show that some of them have numbers, implying it's made from passengers.
- Brick Joke: Ryan notes that Kez does have warm kisses despite being a bell, the same observation Min-Gi made a few episodes back.
- "Eureka!" Moment: for Ryan when he figures out where the door is.
- Ghostly Chill: The haunted car is cold thanks to the Docent.
- Hate Plague: The Docent amplifies the negative emotions of the people in the car. It fails to work on Kez because she's too cheery.
- Living Shadow: The Docent moves along objects as a mobile shadow.
- Perspective Magic: The exit door of the car abstractly takes the form of a mobile piece
that becomes perceptible as a door from prolonged observation. Once that occurs, passengers suddenly find themselves outside the car. - Point of No Return: Once passengers leave the car through its abstract exit door, they're unable to return or communicate with anyone left behind. This causes some tension between Ryan and Min-Gi when the latter believes the former abandoned him to the Docent because of it.
- Unexpectedly Dark Episode: Compared to the rest of book 4. The rest of the book is pretty heavy on comedy, but this episode, while not without its jokes, is largely creepy, with a lingering sense of dread, Ryan and Min-Gi's tension being front and center, and an utterly nightmarish creature that seemingly would've killed Min had he not found the exit door by sheer luck.
- Wham Shot: Ryan promises not to leave Min-Gi, and as a result zeroes out his number. However, when he is tempted by the chance, his number rolls back and the door closes, as it would require him to abandon the very revelation that earned him the chance.
