Recap / I Zombie S 2 E 17 Reflections Of The Way Liv Used To Be

Go To

Liv and Clive investigate the murder of Bailey Barker, a driven, type-A student at the head of her class.

  • Amnesiac Dissonance: Blaine learns more about the man he used to be and does not like what he hears.
  • Dirty Cop: Benedetto's detective work turns out to be pretty shady, even if he can justify it to himself. Ironic considering Enrico Colantoni's role on another Rob Thomas show.
  • Dragon Ascendant: Don E takes over the Lucky U trade while Blaine is indisposed.
  • Go-Getter Girl: Bailey, and Liv under her influence.
  • Karma Houdini: The implication is that Brody will win the class president election, simply because he has no opponent left.
  • Leeroy Jenkins: Major claims that he has to hide Vaughn's threats from Liv because she would be compelled to take reckless action against Vaughn if she found out. Since Liv storms into one of Stacy Boss's operations to demand answers about Drake's disappearance, Major has a point.
  • Mugging the Monster: One of Mr. Boss's goons objects to Liv demanding information and attempts to beat her up. This doesn't go well for him.
  • Neck Snap: Chief does this to Steve after finding out Steve was working for Benedetto.
  • Stealth Pun: Ravi and Liv talk about Taipei, the city in Taiwan, right after Liv eats the brain of an ambitious, competitive, workaholic (i.e., a "Type A" personality).
  • Title-Only Opening: A variation occurs. While the show usually runs a full Artistic Title showing Liv's transformation to a zombie in a comics style, this episode leaves off the title sequence and jumps straight to the iZombie title card.
  • Two-Person Pool Party: One unnamed couple seems to have one in mind, but their plans are thrown off by Bailey's floating corpse.
  • Wham Episode: Vaughn finds out what Major is really doing with the zombies. Bozzio arrests Major as the Chaos Killer.
